  The Munson family has been in the Oriental Rug cleaning business over 80 years. Their price per square foot for cleaning often urine soaked dirty rugs is 75% less than big city rug cleaning operations. They pick up and deliver your rugs and if you aren't completely satisfied they do it all over again. They will also do repair for extremely reasonable prices.

  I now know why there is only one review for this long established company, according to website. And that reviewer has same last name as owners! If you have valuable oriental rugs, I could not ever recommend them. Put my $12,500 ( appraised value )rugs in back of open pick up truck...that is outside the norm, so my first clue. Also, had to call to ask for receipt of rugs and agreed to work to be performed. Complains that they do not usually have to move furniture! I do not have time to go into detail, but they did a terrible job after keeping them longer than expected. When you pay $600 for hand wash, they should pass the white towel test! They both failed miserably and they ran out the door without a WORD! I am sure they feel I should have given them another chance, but with houseguests coming could not have house torn up another 10+ days. I believe they were not touched. But, you have to trust them to do as agreed. They are NOT the only oriental rug cleaner in town as they advertise.....already found one. Hope this review keeps more people fom experience I had. Addendum: just to be clear, I did not pay for the work. I called out to them as they got in truck and asked if wanted me to pay anything, Mr Munson shook his head and said no and closed truck door.

  I looked upped for weeks on the best techniques on how to clean a Persian Rug (my only one and favorite rug) and found Persian Rug Co. out of Chattanooga. They were so helpful just on the phone and explained everything that they do with the cleaning aspect, pricing and time I could expect to get it back. They answered every question I had and more. Also when I was there... I realized not only did they take care of rugs and their preservations they had a very huge collections of beautiful rugs for sale. They do know the business of these classic time pieces!!
